RUGBY CLUB RECEIVES SPONSORSHIP BOOST FROM GROCONTINENTAL
Whitchurch Rugby Club’s First XV have received a sponsorship boost from Grocontinental - the fifth year in succession that the international transport and distribution company has supported the team.
To mark the partnership, Company Chairman, Ray Grocott, and Joint Managing Director, Linda Grocott, attended the team’s first home game of the season against Dudley Kingswinford to officially hand-over this season’s new playing kit to First XV Captain Russell Lear.
Commenting on the sponsorship Ray Grocott said:
‘We have a long and positive association with Whitchurch Rugby Club. As well as commitment from the players, the club relies on an army of voluntary supporters working hard behind-the-scenes to continue the success of the club. We are thrilled to be able to play our part in sustaining the future of rugby in the town.’
In response Whitchurch Rugby Club President, John Gregory, commented:
‘We are indebted to Grocontinental for their support over the last five years. Our commercial partners are the lifeblood of this club and we hope that we can repay their support with a very successful season on the pitch.’
