David Grocott
Joint Managing Director
David joined the company in 1980 after leaving school and spending a year working and travelling around Australia. Following two years driving HGVs around the UK, he embarked upon his career in the transport office at Grocontinental.
He progressed through the business from Transport Planner to Joint Managing Director during the period between 1983 and 1995.
In recent years, David has been responsible for the strategic growth of the business including the ambitious plan to expand and relocate the company to its current Whitchurch site which has been a huge success.
David also oversees the company’s customer development programme and, through his excellent communication skills, has developed long-standing and fruitful relationships with customers and suppliers.
He also maintains a close handle on the day-to-day operations through the management team.
