About Us

From its humble beginnings in the 1930s to its present day position as one of the country's leading international storage and distribution companies with an annual turnover of £25 million, Whitchurch-based Grocontinental believes it owes much of its success to its commitment to excellence in customer service and its great team of people who make the business tick.

When Nellie Grocott, the mother of present Chairman, Ray Grocott, took over the business after the untimely death of her husband in 1940, she treated her customers and staff as her extended family.

With Ray as Chairman and a third generation of Grocotts now at the helm, with David and Linda as Joint Managing Directors, the company, in spite of its vast expansion over the years, has ensured that Nellie's strong values and commitment to her customers and workforce still resonate throughout the company.

The company believes it has built its success on maintaining a flexible and proactive approach to customers' needs and by continually investing in the latest equipment and technology.
